Sarjapur is a well-known area in the city of Hosur, and it is very close to Tamilnadu - Karnataka border. The area is a known housing and commercial area, and it is close to key areas like Whitefield, Electronic City.

The first mention of Sarjapur goes back to the Mughals. The Mughals invaded the city and took over the fort under the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb, in 1686. The General, Khasim Khan, took the city and its surroundings from the Marathas and, in 1689, leased the area to the Wodeyars of Mysore.
Today, the area is on another inclination. Modernization and development are going hand in hand there, and the area is seeing a big boom in the real estate sector.
